Magnificent Egypt

Join Metronome Tours to Magnificent Egypt.  Egypt is one of the most captivating destinations in the world.  We begin our adventure in  legendary Cairo.  Our home during our time in  Cairo will be the luxury Cairo Marriot Hotel located in the centre of Cairo.  Here we will view such magnificent sites  the world famous Pyramids of Giza.   the ancient capital of Memphis, the  ancient Necropolis at  Sakkara with its own pyramids including the unique Step Pyramid.  We also tour the world class Egyptian Museum (if the New Grand Egyptian Museum is open we will be visiting this much anticipated opening), the Cairo Citadel, Muhammad Ali Mosque and the Khan El Khalili Bazaar.

We say goodbye to Cairo and depart on a short flight to the city of Luxor .  Here we will enjoy two nights at the famous Sofitel Winter Palace Hotel. The Winter Palace Hotel is a luxury hotel set on the banks of the Nile River just south of the Temple of Luxor. This is where Agatha Christie wrote the novel "Death on the Nile".   Here we can relax and enjoy the services of this fine hotel  or join our optional sightseeing tour to the Ancient site of Dendara.

No trip to Egypt is complete without sailing down the Nile and viewing its beauty from the Nile.  A 4 day journey down the Nile aboard the luxury Sonesta St George 1 Nile Cruise. During our cruise we will see such majestic sites as the Luxor and Karnak Temples, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Edfu, and the Aswan Dam.  Aswan awaits us at the end of our cruise where we say goodbye to our cruise hosts and disembark the boat.

Aswan is our last stop on our adventure in Egypt.  We will have 3 nights accommodation at the Movenpick Aswan in beautiful Nile View Rooms.  We have a number of optional sightseeing tours available for those that are wanting to learn more about the history of this legendary land.  We are offering tours to breathtaking Abu Simbel and / or a shorter day tour to the Kalabsha Temple on the shores of Lake Nasser.  As will all of our tours we end with a delicious farewell dinner.
